Martha’s Contemporary is pleased to announce a solo exhibition with Austin based maker Moll Brau. Brau is a multi-disciplinary artist with a focus in painting, video work, performance, and installation. These new works are emotional responses to recent major life changes as well as dealing with physical injury. Brau creates a masterful balance of abstraction and figuration to express her presence both physically and spiritually. In these new works she found that color, brush marks, and lines set free from strict representation can still communicate powerfully.
